10/25/2025 - At the meeting we decided:
Keep the protest at the Post Office for the time being. Revisit if weather matters.
Encouraged using social media to get the word out about the success of No Kings. Such visibility encourages our allies, fights against the lies and builds a culture of non-compliance. Social media resources.
Discussed how to work within a coalition of like-minded groups.(Indivisible training on this) plus Ongoing video sessions on working within coalitions)
Both Indivisible and 5calls make it easy to call our representatives, with scripts.

Portage County Democratic Party - A great source for local and Wisconsin information, with regular speakers. Sponsors a Young Democrats group (age 18-40).
Good Ideas / Power Moves - A local group that protests Sunday 11-noon at Veterans Park.
Rapids Response - They protest every Friday from 3 pm- 4 pm and every Saturday from 10am to Noon. Meet at 1st St. S and Riverview Expressway.
North Central Wisconsin Indivisible -Wausau area.
Operation Bootstrap and the Interfaith Food Pantry are meeting local needs.
