No Kings - Vote Early - October 17
Not a protest but an action. Get the votes in and protect the ballot. The Kickoff call is on September 10, but will be available as a Youtube shortly afterwards. We’ll add the link then. (Event at https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/1012262/)
Non-partisan doesn’t mean we don’t have an opinion and viewpoint . We do (see the banner above). We just aren’t tied to a political party. No speeches by candidates. No partisan messages near voting sites (illegal in any case), including early voting sites.
While we should do an event on October 17, early voting doesn't start until October 20. Much of our effort will accordingly focus then.
So the question is: What events and actions should we undertake and which other groups will be involved? If one of them has a planned action within the guidelines, we will support it.
Can we meet? We are inviting any interested group to a yet-to-be scheduled meeting to coordinate our activities and make these actions as impactful as possible. Looking for a site the week of September 28-October 3.
Indivisible Toolkit list potential events and actions, as well their the coalition's guidelines for No Kings.- https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HeRXaxJh5ULLMzNhhFcwdb7XywQ5HKsWMLZ4n9DAIb0/edit?tab=t.0
